Hyderabad, January 28: TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to field a Muslim candidate in the fray in the ensuing bye elections.
Highly placed sources of the party told that, the partly will field Mohammad Ibrahim as its candidate for the Mahboobnagar assembly constituency. Mohammad Ibrahim had faced defeat while contesting for the constituency during the last general elections with few votes. Election is going to be held for the said constituency after the death of an independent MLA. Though there are several contenders of the seat but Chandershekhar Rao has decided to field a Muslim candidate.
After confrontation with the senior leaders of the party on the issue, KCR directed to create consensus on the name of Mohammad Ibrahim.
