Telangana Rashtra Samithi Foundation Day celebrations today made Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy doing a ‘Dhoom Dham’ by shaking his leg and hands along with artistes, who enthralled the audience at Parade Grounds on Monday.
Even as the Grounds were packed to capacity as the people from all the ten Telangana districts thronged the place, the Home Minister was seen wooing the people from time to time. Literally, the Minister joined the artistes and tried to add to their enthusiasm.
Sanskrithika Sarathi Chairman and MLA Rasamayi Balakishan performed his show of dance on a number of songs depicting Telangana struggle and vested interests still coming in the way of Telangana after achieving the statehood. In his regular routine, Balakishan took potshots at Telugu Desam party saying it is shame on the part of Seemandhra rulers for trying to create hurdles to the Telangana Government and the TRS party.
The venue of the TRS public meeting “Prof. Jayashankar Sir Pranganam” has turned pink with thousands of party activists, people and leaders pouring into the sprawling grounds on the occasion of TRS Foundation Day celebrations. Women-folk, carrying traditional Bonalu and Bathukamma on their heads surged into the grounds. The folk artistes of the region invited the people with their ecstatic songs.
All the ministers of KCR cabinet and prominent leaders of the party, accompanied by their followers started arriving amidst wild applause. (NSS)
