TRS did not bribe any legislator, claims Pocharam

Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday claimed that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi did not force a single legislator of any opposition to join the TRS.

Speaking to media persons here, Pocharam said all the MLAs, MLCs and other leaders joined the TRS only to achieve the common goal of ‘Bangaru Telangana’. He said the legislators were impressed with the vision and style of functioning of Chief Minister KChandrashekar Rao. He dismissed the allegations being leveled by TDP leaders that MLAs were paid crores of rupees for defecting from their parties to join the TRS. He said that the TRS has sufficient strength in the Assembly and it does not need to lure more MLAs.

Meanwhile, Pocharam expressed dissatisfaction over the functioning of Agriculture Department. He said that the officials have failed to extend the subsidy, provided by the government, to the farmers in an effective manner. He said that this inefficiency would bring a bad name for the State Government. He announced that the government would extend the Poly House scheme. He also assured that the second installment towards crop loan waiver scheme would be released soon. (INN)
