Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA Vinay Bhaskar has demanded that the State government release a white paper on how many crores of rupees it spent for suppressing Telangana agitators during the Chalo Assembly rally on June 14.
Speaking to the media along with Warangal district TRS president Ravinder Rao in the Hanamkonda TRS office on Sunday, Vinay Bhaskar expressed his gratitude to the Telangana activists for making the Chalo Assembly Rally a grand success in spite of the government planting over 30,000 police personnel everywhere and created obstacles to foil the rally. He also thanked Telangana protagonists for extending wholehearted cooperation to the TRS bandh call on Saturday.
Rejecting the Union government’s offer to give packages for the region and Rayala Telangana State, the TRS MLA demanded that the Centre carve out Telangana State with Hyderabad as its capital. He also made it clear that they would not accept any proposal other than separate Telangana.
Accusing the Telangana TDP leaders of singing “duplicate Telangana” chorus, the TRS leader said the TTDP leaders were not sincerely fighting for separate State. (NSS)
