The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Monday demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar resign from their posts for violating the rules.
Speaking to media persons after boycotting the Assembly’s Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting here, TRS floor leader Etala Rajender and his deputy T Harish Rao alleged that the presentation of Vote-on-Account budget in the House on Monday was undemocratic and violative of set norms. They questioned as to how the State Cabinet could approve the Vote-on-Account budget when the Telangana ministers boycotted the cabinet meeting. Further, they said that the Speaker violated the rules by allowing the presenting of Vote-on-Account in the House.
The TRS leaders accused both the Chief Minister and Speaker of violating the constitutional norms and described them as unfit for the posts. (INN)
