TRS to contest from Parakal assembly seat
Hyderabad, April 16 (INN): The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has decided to field its candidate from Parakal Assembly constituency in Warangal district.
Briefing the media persons about the decisions taken by the TRS polit-bureau which met at TRS Bhavan here on Monday, former MLA Nayani Narasimha Reddy said that the meeting has unanimously decided to contest from Parakal assembly constituency in the ensuing by-elections being held for 18 assembly segments in the State. He said that an Election Committee, to be chaired by him, would finalise the aspirants’ list. The committee would soon finalise the candidate from the constituency, he said.
Narasimha Reddy said that the TRS would also celebrate its 12th Formation Day at a grand scale in Vikarabad of Rangareddy district on April 27. He said that 200 delegates from various constituencies in Telangana region would participate in the event.
The TRS polit-bureau also congratulated those employees of Singareni Collieries, who participated in general strike, for increasing the production to its maximum level.
Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao said the polit-bureau meeting also discussed about the increase in power tariff hike and minimum support price for Chili crop. The polit-bureau has decided to intensify agitation against the power tariff hike if the government fails to revoke its orders.
Harish Rao expressed confidence that the TRS would win the Parakal Assembly constituency with a huge majority.
