TRS complaints to Home Minister against police

TRS legislators called on Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum alleging harassment of the people in Mahabubnagar in connection with the proposed “sadak bandh” programme in the district.

The TRS legislators alleged that the police were binding over the local people in the town and also subjecting them to harassment. The Home Minister assured the TRS delegation that she would look into the matter and also discuss the issue with the Chief Minister regarding the proposed “sadak bandh” program.

Those who had called on the Home Minister were E. Rajendra, Harish Rao, Harishwar Reddy. Ravinder Reddy, Sammaiah, Odelu and Jupalli Krishna Rao.

Meanwhile the TRS party’s bus yatra in support of the sadak bandh upto Alampur in Mahabubnagar commenced. The TRS party leader in the Assembly E. Rajendra declared that the proposed Sadak Bandh on February 24 in Mahabubnagar would be held as scheduled despite the attempts by the state government to create numerous hurdles.
