TRS chief mulling non-cooperation movement

Hyderabad, October 12: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leadership will draft its future course of action, to be followed after December 31, at its

politburo and executive committee meeting scheduled to be held at the Telangana Bhavan on October 13.

Party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao disclosed it while addressing a gathering of party workers here today. The TRS chief is planning to spearhead the movement on Gandhian lines and is contemplating to take up non-cooperation movement in the region.

However, he would discuss all the plans with his politburo members and district-level leaders in the politburo meeting.

Meanwhile, the party leadership decided to take up ‘Palle Bata’ programme from the last week of October to prepare people for the agitation planned after December 31. KCR and other party leaders would tour all the constituencies in Telangana by the end of November. The party would soon take a decision on how to deal with the Telangana political JAC.

Earlier in the day, a large number of TDP and PRP activists from Medak and Rangareddy districts joined the TRS in the presence of the TRS chief at the Telangana Bhavan.

Addressing them, the TRS leader said the TDP was the main obstacle for the formation of Telangana state.

“Having observed the functioning of all other parties (on T issue), people were voluntarily joining the TRS to achieve separate Telangana state,” KCR said.
