On Tuesday, TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao sought President Pranab Mukherjee’s intervention in stopping the progress of the ordinance that was issued to alter the boundaries of Telangana and AP by merging seven mandals into the latter.
He moreover pointed to the injustice meted out to Telangana region in the power sharing.
Mr Rao wrote in his letter, “People of Telangana just commenced celebrations. But In less than 24 hours, the Government of India, through an ordinance, reversed the clock. At this crucial juncture, we request your excellency to do justice.”
