Hyderabad, December 05: The condition of Telangana Rasthra Samity(TRS) Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao, who is on fast-unto-death from November 29 demanding separate statehood for Telangana, has created a concern, as his health had further deteroirated at Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences(NIMS) and a medical-team attending on him were planning to shift him to Intensive Critical Care Unit(ICCU).
The Doctors confirmed that Mr Rao’s health was deteroirating due to fall of sodium and potasium levels, which may cause concern on his health. A team of 30-doctors headed by Director of NIMS B Prasada Rao, was constantly monitoring the health of the TRS Supremo, who was refusing to allow the doctors to administer saline and oral fluids.
Despite the State Government urging him to withdraw his ongoing stir, Mr Rao, was stubborn in his decision and refused to give it up, till the All India Congress Committee(AICC) announces the process of separate statehood for Telangana.
Meanwhile, sporadic incidents of bus burning, dharnas, relay fast, rallys and picketing in front of the Congress leaders, Ministers and Legislators of Telangana region were resorted to by the TRS cadres.
In view of the present situation on Telangana, the ministers belonging to Telangana region, had a discussions with the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah and Pradesh Congress Committee(PCC) President D Srinivas and urged them to take an initiative with the Congress High Command and apprise the AICC President and United Progressive Alliance(UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, the prevailing situation in the State on Telangana issue.
Security has been tightened at NIMS hospital and various other vulnerable places of the twin-cities, in view of the heavy inflow of the visitors and cadres to see the ailing TRS leader, though hospital authorities advised them to restrict their visits in view of Mr Rao’s health condition.
