TRS challenges TDP for open debate on Naidu’s assets

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Saturday challenged Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu for an open debate on the assets owned by him.

Talking to media persons at Telangana Bhavan after admitting the Congress and TDP party workers into TRS, MLA K Taraka Ramarao said that if Naidu was ready, then TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao would have an open debate on the assets owned by him. Instead of leveling baseless charges against KCR, Naidu should come up with proof and ready for debate, he said. He said the TRS chief was ready for discussion anywhere and at any place.

Stating the TDP came to power due to the efforts of its founder president N T Rama Rao, he alleged that the party has now turned into a contractor’s party. “There are no sincere workers in the TDP and the party is being run by contractors only,” he stated.

KTR said that the people of region would teach a fitting lesson to Naidu for backtracking on statehood issue in the ensuing by-elections for seven segments in the region. “The TDP will be wiped out from the region for cheating the people on Telangana State formation,” he said. (INN)
