Congress leaders have alleged that the TRS party celebrated food festivals in the name of plenary when the people of the state were dying due to severe drought.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Mallu Ravi and Dasoju Sravan questioned Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to tell as to why the Roads and Buildings Minister Thummala Nageshwara Rao contested from TDP in 2014 in case the latter was his right hand. They asked the TRS party to show their plenary expenditure as election expenditure and made it clear that they will lodge a complaint against the TRS party’s violations during plenary.
Stating that the four crore people were suffering from severe drought, Ravi and Sravan alleged that the ruling party leaders were enjoyed with various delicacies and arranging Air Cooling venue. They alleged that the TRS party used the plenary for its election campaign. The Chief Minister praised Thummala in the plenary and asked the Palair people to cast their vote to Thummala against the rules, they alleged saying that they will lodge a complaint with the election commission in this regard along with evidences.
