TRS camp worried on Maulana Jafar Pasha’s resignation from UMF

Hyderabad: With the resignation of noted Islamic scholar, Maulana Jafar Pasha from United Muslim Forum (UMF), the worries of the TRS camp have further increased. TRS party is already facing wrath of its disappointed leaders. The resignation of Maulana Jafar Pasha is being construed as a split in the Forum.

In General Elections of 2014, although TRS formed the government, its share of votes was only 33.3% whereas Congress polled 25.2%, TDP 14. 7% and BJP 7.1%. The percentage of votes of TDP and Congress including communist party can trail TRS.

Political analysts presume that the grand alliance may poll more than 40% votes. This increases the worries of Mr. KCR.

TDP President, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu is making an attempt to keep BJP away from Central politics. He is forging an alliance of non-BJP parties. He has also been generous in sacrificing some of the seats in Telangana which guarantees success of coalition in the State.
