Launching a scathing attack on TRS, Telangana TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao today alleged that the ruling party was luring and buying leaders of other parties for the win in MLC elections like people buy animals in weekly cattle markets.
Speaking to the media at NTR trust bhavan here on Saturday, Errabelli said no political party in the country after independence was involved in such acts and the Secretariat, CM’s camp office and CM’s farm-house are being used for the purpose. He also alleged that right from village to Assembly level, public representatives of the Opposition parties have been lured by ruling party. KCR was deceiving the people, he said, adding that TRS fielded candidates in seven districts though it has no support there and indulged in buying the candidates of other parties. The ruling party was making mockery of democracy by buying candidates of other parties in Warangal, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Medak and Nizamabad districts, he alleged.
The ongoing elections were not being conducted democratically and the party would lodge a complaint with the Election Commission against the ruling party about its functioning, Errabelli said. He also alleged that ministers were laying foundation stones for various places in view of the ensuing GHMC elections.
Taking a dig on Congress party, which made a joke on buying TDP MLAs by the ruling party, Errabelli asked the Congress to at least come together to checkmate the TRS. There would be no alliance with Congress party and the TDP would contest MLC elections in Mahbubnagar and Rangareddy districts, he said. (NSS)
