TRS brought up data theft case to suppress removal of voters’ name from list in Telangana, alleges actor-turned-activist Sivaji

Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh): Actor-turned-political activist Sivaji on Friday alleged that the ruling party Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) has brought up the data theft case to suppress the issue of removal of voters’ name from the list during the recently concluded assembly elections in the state.

He further alleged that the issue of data theft is being raised at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The issues of special category status to Andhra Pradesh, railway zone and other reorganization act assurances were sidelined and the meaningless issue of data theft has been brought to fore for distraction, Sivaji said at a press conference here.

The political activist also claimed that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, commonly known as KCR, is hatching conspiracies to defeat the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the coming Andhra Pradesh assembly elections and to make YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy as the Chief Minister of the state.

Sivaji alleged that the data theft was done in Telangana way back in 2015.

“Data breach is not confined to a single party. All political parties do it. In the NAMO App of Prime Minister Modi, there is data of almost 30 crore people. In case anyone specifically wants to steal data, he would set up his office in the US but not in Hyderabad,” he said.

“The state government forming Special Investigation Teams (SITs) is a part of political strategy. Now the parties are shouting as if data is breached for the first time in India and it is some international issue,” Sivaji claimed.

Sivaji clarified that he does not belong to any particular party and is speaking on behalf of the public.
