Hyderabad, February 10: Telangana Rashtra Samithi will boycott the address of Governor ESL Narasimhan on the inaugural day of budget session of Legislative Assembly and Council.
Briefing the media about the decisions taken during the party’s politburo and legislature party meetings held at Telangana Bhavan here on Friday, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the party has decided to boycott the Governor’s address as it would not have any mention of separate Telangana or other issues related to the region.
Chandrasekhar Rao said that the party would also stall the assembly proceedings demanding till the Telangana Bill gets introduced in the House. Further, the party would also raise issues including cases against Telangana students. He alleged that despite giving assurances the government has not withdrawn all the cases and the process of registering cases was still on. He said the police has opened rowdy sheets of several students who participated in the Telangana agitation.
The TRS chief said the party would draw its strategy once in every two during the budget session of the legislative assembly.
Reacting to the comments made by Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu asking him to change the behaviour, KCR said that Naidu should not speak about morals in politics as he has encroached upon power by backstabbing his father-in-law NT Rama Rao.
