Hyderabad, January 22: Activists of BJP, TRS and various other organisations began relay hunger fast across the region on Friday in support of their demand that the Centre introduce a bill for formation of separate Telangana in the Budget session of Parliament.
Several leaders of TRS, BJP and people’s organisations who are part of the Telangana political Joint Action Committee (JAC) took part in the relay fast.
The call for starting the relay hunger strike was given by JAC.
JAC convener M Kodandaram threatened to intensify the agitation for separate Telangana if the Centre delayed the process for formation of separate Telangana.
The relay fast would continue until separate Telangana goal is achieved, TRS leaders said.
