TRS party has won two MLC seats on Monday. TRS supported candidate Pathuri Sudhakar Reddy had registered a thumping majority in the teachers constituency held for Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Medak districts. He created a history by winning with first priority votes.
Sudhakar Reddy won the election with 5023 votes majority. Pathuri has got 9324 votes out of 18,235 votes and elected with the first priority votes only. Sudhakar Reddy’s opponents Mohan Reddy got 4,301 votes, Laxma Reddy got 3675 votes, Kishtu got 388, Ashok got 153, Laxminarayana got 18. 376 votes have become invalid votes.
On the other hand, from Graduates constituency of Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Medak districts, TRS candidate Swamy Goud has registered a thumping victory in the MLC elections today. He got 48,470 votes as the fourth round counting was completed, out of 58,354 votes. Fifteen opponents of Swamy Goud have got 3663 votes only. 6,055 votes were declared invalid.
Ruling Congress party supported Teacher’s constituency candidate from North Andhra, Gade Srinivasulu Naidu has won the election with a margin of 948 votes on Simhadri Appadu. Srinivasulu Naidu has got 8468 votes. Appadu has contested on the plank of APTF. (NSS)
