Exuding confidence over his victory, Congress candidate in Warangal by-election Sarve Sathyanarayana has said the TRS government’s “anti-people” policies will definitely help him win the election.
Speaking to the media at DCC Bhavan here on Thursday, Sarve said he got good response from the people during his campaigning and hoped that the people would teach a lesson to the TRS party. He also alleged that the TRS government was harassing Telangana TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy by filing cases against him only to suppress the Reddy community people. He said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was too small to criticize Congress senior leaders K Jana Reddy and S Jaipal Reddy.
Surve revealed that the Congress would file a petition against the “Namasthe Telangana” newspaper, which was working as a pamphlet of the ruling party. Alleging that KCR entered into a secret pact with the NDA government at the Centre only to get a Union Minister post to his daughter K Kavitha, Sarve said KCR has no respect for women. “Barring Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, the TRS leaders will help the Congress party in the elections”, Sarve opined.
