India Today conducted a survey which reveals that TRS will get 13 LS seats in Telangana and YSCP will get 13 LS seats in Seema Andhra region whereas Congress is likely to get 7 seats and TDP 8. BJP will not get any seat.
After the opinion poll survey, TRS leaders are happy with the outcome. It is reported that some TRS MLAs are interested to contest for Lok Sabha. A.P. has 42 LS seats. It is very surprising that despite extending support to Telangana, BJP is not able to get any seat in Lok Sabha. It is also reported that after the declaration of formation of separate Telangana State by Congress in 2009, it changed its stand later which resulted in the decline of its popularity. Political analysts predict that if Congress enters into an alliance with YSRCP and TRS, its LS seats might increase. In 2009 TRS was successful in 2 LS seats. Party Chairman Mr. KCR won election from Mahboob Nagar whereas Ms. Vijay Shanti got LS seat from Medak. Congress has seriously thinking of entering into an alliance with TRS. It is trying to take the support of TRS. Mr. KCR wants to contest both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections without any alliance so that the wave of Telangana Movement could be cashed. TRS is confident that it will form the Govt. on its own in Telangana.
