Saharanpur (UP): The passing of Triple Talaq Bill in the parliament on July 30 led to saving of the marriage of a couple here.
According to newspaper reports Mohammad Ali had dumped his wife Naseema and was living separately for the past four months. He returned to her soon after he came to know that the Triple Talaq bill was passed in parliament.
The couple had allegedly separated after she gave birth to twins which were followed by husband’s family that began thrashing her over not getting enough dowry.
On April 20 Naseema, a resident of Saharanpur, was allegedly thrashed by her husband’s family members over demand for dowry.
Farah Faiz, the lawyer who is looking after Naseema’s case, said, “It was only after the Triple Talaq bill was passed that her husband decided to return and take his wife home.”
