Triple Talaq bill doesn’t aim at bothering anyone: Naqvi

New Delhi: ‘The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill’, 2017 popularly known as the triple talaq Bill, is a historical opportunity to amend the wrongdoings against Muslim women. Interrupting the debate on triple talaq in the house, union minority affairs minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the bill doesn’t aim at troubling anyone but aims at providing justice to Muslim women.

Mentioning the sections under which triple talaq is considered a crime, he said those who are arguing against it should think that why one should commit such thing by which he is liable to punishment.

During the debate, Congress MP Mallikarjun Kharge objected why the law has been made only for Muslim man when there is no such system for Hindu and Christian men.
