Triple Talaq Bill: AIMPLB hints legal action

Patna: Responding to the Triple Talaq Bill passed in the parliament, General Secretary All India Muslim Personal Law Board Maulana Mohammed Vali Rahmani said the bill is against Indian constitution and it hurts the very spirit of the constitution. As per the constitution, every citizen of the country has freedom to lead his/her life according to his/her religion and faith. The bill violates the fundamental rights guaranteed by the constitution. The bill should not have passed but thanks to the imprudence and double standards of the political parties, they helped the government pass the bill.

The members of the parties who staged walkout from the parliament indirectly supported the government, this shows their double standard and dual policy.

From the bill, the government doesn’t aim at sympathizing with the Muslim women but at harassing Muslim men and landing them in jail by illegal use of the bill.

As reported by the Inquilab, clearing the stand of the board, Maulana Vali Rahmani said the Muslim Personal Law Board considers both the decision of Supreme Court on Triple Talaq and the Bill, as wrong and condemn them. He informed that the Board will take any concrete step against the Bill after taking all legal aspects of the issue into consideration.
