Kolkata, July 23: The Trinamool Congress today sought Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi’s intervention for putting an end to ‘continued terror’ allegedly by the CPI(M) on the opposition in West Bengal after its defeat in the Lok Sabha polls.
“We urged him to send a report to the Centre and also to the state government and ensure that culprits are arrested,” Trinamool Congress leader Partha Chatterjee, who met the Governor along with party MLAs, said.
Chatterjee, the Leader of the Opposition, said after the recent poll reverses, the CPI(M) terror machinery has been working overtime against the opposition parties.
The TC leader said that he yesterday visited Nanoor in Birbhum district where a party worker was killed on Tuesday.
