Kolkata, July 08: The opposition Trinamool Congress walked out of the West Bengal assembly for the second consecutive day today after Speaker H A Halim rejected their demand for a privilege motion against Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.
The TC members, who entered the House at the fag end of question hour, rushed to the Speaker’s podium, after their demand for privilege motion was rejected by him.
They shouted slogans against Halim and dubbed him an ‘agent of CPI(M)’.
As Halim left amidst the din and with Robin Mandol in the chair, the TC members walked out of the House and rushed to the Speaker’s chamber where a heated argument took place between him and Trinamool Congress leader, Partha Chatterjee, who is the Leader of the Opposition.
