CPM Telangana State secretary Thammineni Veerabhadram today asked the State government how it would be possible to create Golden Telangana without providing quality education to the students.
Thammineni was speaking after visiting the schools located in Musheerabad here on Thursday. He said the conditions in the government schools were pathetic. He walked into the classrooms and enquired with the students about their problems. He said the students and teachers were facing hardships due to lack of basic amenities. While the teachers were purchasing chalk pieces with their own money to write on black boards, students were writing letters on soil as they have no slates.
The CPM leader alleged that the TRS government was passing time without solving the problems of the people. He also said it was not good on the part of government to close the schools on the pretext there were no students in the schools. (NSS)
