Trent Boult ascends in latest ICC’s ODI, Test rankings

New Zealand paceman Trent Boult has moved up a place to a career-best third in the latest ICC’s Test rankings for the bowlers.

The left-arm swing bowler claimed 13 wickets in the two-match Test series against England before he was ruled out of the rest of the series with a back injury.

Boult is ranked third with 814 points, behind South African pace spearhead Dale Steyn (905) and England swing veteran James Anderson (824), Stuff.co.nz reported.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old pace bowler has also climbed to sixth spot in the 50-over format.

Boult has become one of the frontline bowlers for New Zealand, sharing the leading wicket-taker spot in the World Cup with Australian Mitchell Starc, (ANI)
