This trend of price rise of petrol, diesel exposes so-called “Achhe Din”

New Delhi: BJP claims that it has brought “achhe din” for the people of the country but the ground reality is quite different. If we review the present situation of the country, BJP failed to fulfill any of its election promises.

It may be mentioned that during the general elections of 2014, BJP promised to reduce inflation, make Pakistan bow down, clean Ganga, improve economic the condition of the country, bring back black money from foreign countries, eradicate corruption at all levels, provide electricity to all the villages and so on… but failed to fulfill any of these promises.

For example, if we take one item fuel, the trend of price rise in India exposes BJP’s so-called “Achhe Din”.

It may be noted that in 2014, when the price of crude oil in international market was $148, the price of petrol was Rs. 61 and diesel Rs. 53 per liter in India. In 2015, when the price of crude oil came down to $36 in international market, in India, the prices of petrol and diesel rose to Rs. 76 and Rs. 60 per liter respectively. Now that the price of crude oil in international market is $47, petrol is being sold at Rs. 71 and diesel at Rs. 61 per liter in India.

Despite the prices of crude oil falling down in the international market, prices of petrol and diesel in the country increased which is surprising.
