Some Muslim brothers overtaken by modernity, consider it a privilege to imitate non Muslim customs. They think that if they don’t adopt modern ways they will be called orthodox.
In a valima ceremony held recently in the city, bride and groom were made seated next to each other on the stage in front of the combine gathering (including ladies and gentlemen).
Screens were installed all over the hall so that everyone sitting in the hall can see the stage and ofcourse the bride also. Bride and groom sitting next to each other in front of the whole gathering including non-Mahrems is not only against Islamic principles but also against Hyderabadi culture and tradition, hence every Muslim should boycott such gatherings.
