New Delhi: TravelKhana, which has integrated its services with the IRCTC website, is making it possible for travelers to get access to lip-smacking delicacies prepared by the various restaurants selected and verified by TravelKhana.com personnel across various stations.
The website comes to the rescue as the first India-wide marketplace enabling food ordering for travelers in transit. The travelers can now get sweets delivered to their passenger seats across 37 railway stations.
This festive season, the online platform has already received an extensive list of orders like Panchhi Plain Dry Petha for Agra Cantt station, Chainna Mango Barfi for Bhopal Junction, Paneer Jalebi for Gwalior Station, Doodh ka Halwa, Kalakand and Khowe Ki Jalebi for Jabalpur Station, Bhakarwadi, Lonavala Chikki and Maganlal Chikki for Pune Junction and many more.
Speaking on the association, Pushpinder Singh, Co-Founder and CEO, Travel Khana, said “The festival of colors is back and this is one of the few occasions when people, mostly students or professionals living outside their native places, plan a trip home. Then there are people who end up boarding the train in a rush due to last minute plans and forget to carry any gifts or sweets delicacies. Holi celebrations are incomplete without sweets.”
“As a consequence, we have started receiving plenty of orders from these time-crunched travelers across 37 railway stations including New Delhi, Jabalpur, Ambala Cantt Junction and Pune to name a few,” added Singh. (ANI)
