Hyderabad, January 3: The new executive officer of the State Hajj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor announced that he will not take monetary benefits from the Hajj committee. Prof. Shukoor took charge of his post after inspecting various departments of Hajj committee on Monday.
Mr. Shukoor is the director of Centre for educational development of minorities Osmania University (under minority welfare) and he has been given additional charge of executive officer of state Hajj committee.
Talking to Siasat he reiterated that he would not take any honorarium or monetary benefits from Hajj committee and said that his first preference will be to bring transparency in the performance of Hajj committee and he has issued clear directions to workers in this regard.
He would strive to provide better facilities to the Hajj pilgrims of Hajj 2012. he said that issuance of Hajj forms will begin in the month of February however central Hajj committee’s formal announcement is awaited. According to the decision of central Hajj committee no application would be accepted without passport. He said.
