As the month of Ramadan is on the horizon, preparation to welcome Ramadan is in full swing in the entire city. Historical Makkah Masjid is also being given a facelift. A transformer has been installed to supply electricity for water treatment plant. It is a welcome move that Makkah Masjid is being given a facelift and measures are being taken to provide better facilities to musallis but forcefully installing the transformer on private land is uncalled for.
Mohammed Jameeluddin Dakhni S/O Maulana Mohammed Jamaluddin Dakhni who is suffering from polio reached Siasat office and told that electricity department is installing transformer on his 44 sqyd open land. In 1974 his father Maulana Jamaluddin Dakhni had purchased 119.17 sqyd land from Fareed Ahmed S/O Ghulam Ahmed he has registered sale deed of the transaction. Although there is government land adjacent to his private land but cement bed for installation of transformer has been prepared on his private land. He has filed a writ petition in High Court against the department.
