Lucknow, April 12: A day after it effected the reshuffle of 21 IPS officers, the Uttar Pradesh government today modified transfer orders of five Inspector Generals of Police (IGs), a government spokesman said here.
IG Bareilly raneg Bhanu Pratap Singh, who was yesterday transferred to fire services has been shifted to PAC eastern zone Lucknow in the same capacity, he said.
Transfer order of IG intelligence headquarters R P Singh, shifting him to Moradabad, has been cancelled and he has been asked to join at Varanasi instead.
Javed Akhtar, who had earlier been transferred to Varanasi, has been posted to Moradabad in place of Singh.
IG Gurdarshan Singh, who was yesterday transferred to PAC east zone from Varanasi, has been re-shifted to vigilance headquarters.
Transfer order of IG fire services Harishchandra Singh to vigilance headquarters has been cancelled.
