Hyderabad, December 08: In order to fulfill the needs of electricity in the State, A.P. Transco will buy electric power by spending Rs. 1950 crore. Mr. Ajay Jain, M.D. of A.P. Transco told that keeping in mind the priorities of the requirements of agriculture sector, it has been decided to buy electricity.
He further disclosed that the problem of continuous power supply for seven hours to farmers has been resolved. The demand of electricity has never been so much in the state earlier. Power will be purchased on the occasion of Rabi season. Transco has to buy power at a higher rate in order to fulfill its demands.
