APTransco assistant engineer Mallaiah was caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths on Tuesday while he was accepting bribe from farmers in Dharmavaram for distributing transformer accessories to them.
According to the information, ACB sleuths led by DSP Bhaskar Reddy trapped Mallaiah while he was receiving a bribe of Rs 3,500 from a farmer one Ramireddy of Malla Kalwa village under Dharmavaram mandal. The Transco AE was taken into custody. The DSP said the accused will be produced in the ACB Court in Kurnool on Wednesday. (NSS)
