Ghaziabad: One man was killed and three others injured when they tried to cross the tracks in front of an approaching train near Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad railway yard on Tuesday, an official said.
The four were hit by an EMU train around 8 a.m. near a manned level crossing when they tried to cross the tracks after the gates were closed for the approaching train, Northern Railway Spokesperson Deepak Kumar said.
“They failed to cross over as swiftly as they expected and instead were hit by the train,” he said.
The injured were shifted to MMG Civil Hospital here. A case was registered.
