Hyderabad: Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, has notified for information of the general public, that, in order to relieve congestion, to maintain smooth flow of traffic and to ensure public safety and order, in connection with Runners Marathon rn, the following restrictions and diversions will be imposed from 0430 hours to 0900 hours on August 25.
Traffic Diversions
Traffic coming from VV Statue towards flyover and Necklace Rotary will be diverted at V.V statue towards Shadan and Nirankari Bhavan. Traffic coming from Telugu Thalli will be diverted at Helipad Lane towards Mint- Khairatabad (Bada Ganesh). Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar intending to go towards Upper tankbund will be diverted on Telugu Thalli flyover at Old gate Secretariat. Traffic coming from Liberty intending to go towards Upper tank bund will be diverted at GHMC office towards BRKR Bhavan, Telugu Thalli, Iqbal Minar “U” Turn and on Telugu Thalli flyover. Traffic coming from Karbala Maidan towards Upper Tank bund will be diverted at Children’s Park towards DBR Mills Road.
Traffic coming from Kawadiguda ‘X’ Roads will not be allowed towards sailing club. Traffic coming from DBR Mills will not be allowed towards Children Park. Traffic is not allowed on Nallgutta beck side towards. Traffic from Ministers road will be diverted towards Ranigunj and traffic from Ranigunj will be diverted towards ministers’ road at Nallagutta Junction. When the Marathon arrives at Necklace Rotary, the traffic coming from Begumpet towards Rajbhavan will be diverted at Green lands towards Ameerpet till the Marathon goes beyond K.B.R. Park Junction.
When the Marathon enters Panjagutta flyover, the traffic coming from Panjagutta towards Road No.2, Banjara Hills will be diverted at NFCL Island towards Road No.1, Banjara Hills till the Marathon goes beyond KBR Park Junction. When the Marathon enters Sagar Society Jn., the traffic coming from Orissa Island / Road No.10, B/Hills will not be allowed towards NTR Bhavan. The traffic coming from Road No.10, B/Hills will be diverted at Cancer Hospital towards Orissa Island and the traffic coming from Orissa Island will be diverted at Cancer Hospital towards Road No.10, Banara Hills.
When the Marathon run reaches Hyderabad Gymkhana Club, the traffic coming Film Nagar/ Road No.45 towards Jubilee Hills Check Post will be diverted at Road No.1/45 Jn towards Road No. 45 dead end. Traffic will not be allowed towards Road No.36, Jubilee Hills when the Marathon goes beyond Jubilee Hills Check Post towards Madhapur and the traffic coming from Venkatagiri ‘T’ Jn., KBR Park will be diverted towards Road No.2, Banjara Hills. When the Marathon reaches Ushakiran Jn., the U turn opposite L & O PS Jubilee Hills will be closed and traffic is allowed only towards Jubilee Hills check Post.
General public are requested to avoid above roads and take alternate routes to reach their destination and cooperate with the Traffic Police.
