Traffic Police postponed its special drive against errant auto drivers

Hyderabad, October 14: The traffic police’s ongoing special drive against errant auto drivers has been postponed by one month. This was told by additional commissioner traffic Mr. C V Anand while addressing a press conference here following a review meet held with auto union, transport department, legal metrology and traffic police.

Relating the details of review meet he said ‘besides auto union’s recommendations due to essential technical reasons traffic police has postponed its drive. However traffic police will resume its operation from November 22 and will not compromise with any situation.’

He told that auto union leaders had assured to fully implement the conditions of traffic police within one month and they too presented some of their conditions along with it.’

He said that traffic police has stipulated five conditions which include not to tamper meters, to ply passengers to said destinations, to keep display board in auto with helpline numbers of traffic police, to bring transparency and to provide better services to passengers.
