Traffic police penalise Harbhajan

Chandigarh, September o1: Harbhajan Singh, who on Monday arrived in Chandigarh in style in his brand new sports utility vehicle (SUV) Hummer, was penalised on Tuesday for driving it without number plates.

The Chandigarh traffic police landed up at Harbhajan’s hotel to investigate the case on Tuesday morning. He was made to pay Rs 3,000 fine for the offence.

Harbhajan had driven his brand new Hummer from Jalandhar to Chandigarh. The Indian spinner has been in Chandigarh to participate in the BCCI Corporate Trophy tie.

His Air India Blue teammates – Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and R.P. Singh – were also at the hotel and will be seen in action on Tuesday when the Corporate Trophy kicks off.
