Traffic, parking restrictions for aviation show

Hyderabad, March 06: In order to ensure smooth flow of traffic on the Begumpet road, where a large number of visitors are expected to congregate to view the International Civil Aviation Exhibition at the airport on Saturday and Sunday, parking lots have been earmarked and special buses have been arranged from the parking lots to the exhibition.

Police said visitors coming from Punjagutta should use the parking facility at Hyderabad air cargo. From here, there is a direct entry to the Civil Aviation Exhibition. When the parking area gets filled, visitors’ vehicles will be parked in the Hyderabad Public School grounds.

Visitors coming from Paradise, Patny, Tivoli and other places should park their vehicles in Wesley College grounds, Zymkhana grounds and Parade grounds. The organisers are arranging free buses from the Hyderabad Public School, Wesley College, Gymkhana Grounds and Parade Grounds to the Begumpet airport. Visitors having entry passes would only be permitted to travel in them, an official release said.

Visitors coming for the morning session should vacate the parking area by 1.15 p.m for those coming for the afternoon session.

Visitors are also requested to carry the original registration certificate book and the driving licence.

The vehicles will be subjected to anti-sabotage checks at the parking places and a sticker will be affixed to the vehicles after clearance.

Visitors are also requested not to park their vehicles on the main roads or internal roads. Those parked on roadside will be towed away and charges for the same would be collected from them.

Police said vehicles of visitors are not allowed beyond Prakashnagar T-junction towards Begumpet airport.

Visitors with entry passes are allowed on both days in two sessions, morning session from 10 a.m to 1 p.m and afternoon session from 2 p.m to 5 p.m.

Entry tickets will be sold at the parking areas only and not at the Begumpet airport, according to the police.
