Vehicular traffic on either side of Uppal junction on the Hyderabad-Warangal national highway remained standstill at noon on Sunday causing severe hardships to motorists and pedestrians due to oppressive heat.
A large number of vehicles came to a grinding halt on both sides of the national highway due to absence of Traffic police constables and malfunctioning of traffic signals. The motorists and pedestrians were seen cursing their fate to undergo unbearable suffering due to traffic jam for a couple of hours. They wondered why the Traffic police men kept away from the busy road junction. (NSS)
