Hyderabad, January 6: In view of the ongoing 71st All India Industrial Exhibition at the Exhibition Grounds, Nampally in the city from January 1 to February 15, 2011, the following alternate routes are suggested for the general public to avoid traffic congestion and jams, particularly at M.J.Market to Taj Island stretch from 4 p.m to 12 midnight every day till February 15.
The Additional Commissioner of police (Traffic), said in a press note here today that traffic coming from Putlibowli side and intending to go to Nampally will take alternate route via: M.J.Market – Yousuf & Co., – Abids – Nampally Station Road – A1 Café (Nampally T Junction).
Traffic coming from Traffic Control Room (old Police Control Room) Fathe Maidan and Public Garden side and intending to go to Afzalgunj will take alternate route via: A.R Petrol Pump-BJR Statue- SBH Gunfoundary – Taj Mahal – Abids GPO-Yousuf & Co- M.J. Market – Afzalgunj.
Traffic coming from M.J.Bridge side and intending to go to Nampally will take alternate route via: Begum Bazar Chatri – Alaska- Darusalam right turn- Ekminar Mosque- Railway station – Nampally.
Traffic coming from Chaderghat Bridge side and intending to go to Saifabad will take alternate route via: Chaderghat Bridge –DMHS, Koti – right turn- Sultan Bazar – King Koti X Roads – backside of Nizam College – Basheerbagh – PCR – Saifabad.
Traffic coming from Bahadurpura side and intending to go to Nampally will take alternate route via: Purnapul – Jummmerath Bazar – Aghapura – Darusalam – Ekminar Mosque – Railway station – Nampally
Traffic coming from Saifabad side and intending to go to Rajender Nagar will take alternate route via: Ravindra Bharathi – Lakdi-kapul – Ayodhya – Masab Tank flyover – Mehdipatnam – Moghal ka Nala – Attapur – Rajendranagar.
Traffic coming from Madina (old city) side and intending to go to Nampally will take alternate route via: Afzalgunj –M.J. Market – Yousuf & Co – Abids GPO – A1 Signal Point (Nampally T Jn) or Abids – Chirag Ali Lane – Chermas – BJR Statue – AR Petrol Pump – Nampally
Traffic coming from Mehdipatnam side and intending to go towards Charminar will take alternate route via: Mehdipatnam, Asif Nagar Road – Bhoiguda Kaman –Mangalghat – Puranapul – Moosa bowli Road – Chowk – Khilwath – Charminar
The above alternate routes are useful for minimizing the traffic at Ajantha Gate without touching the Exhibition Main entrance gate. The commuters will reach their destinations within time without causing traffic Jam. The Additional Commissioner requested people to co-operate with the police personnel on duty.
