City Police Commissioner M. Mahendar Reddy, IPS, today announced traffic diversions and restrictions on September 28 in connection with “Saddula Bathukamma” program at L.B. Stadium and Upper Tank bund from 1600 hrs to 2330 hrs in order to relieve traffic congestion and to ensure public safety.
The Police Commissioner said the vehicular traffic coming from Secunderabad and moving towards Upper Tank bund will be diverted at Karbala Maidan–Bible House towards Kavadiguda–Lower Tank bund. Similarly, vehicles coming from Kattamaisamma temple and Kavadiguda side and moving towards Children’s park-Upper Tank bund will be diverted at DBR Mills towards Kavadiguda.
Traffic coming from Iqbal Minor and going towards Upper Tank bund will be diverted at Old Gate of Secretariat on to the Telugutally flyover – Kattamaisamma. At AR Petrol Pump Junction, traffic will not be allowed towards BJR Statue and will be diverted towards Nampally or Ravindra Bharati. Traffic coming from SBI will not be allowed towards BJR Statue and Basheerbagh Jn and will be diverted at SBH Gunfoundry towards Chapel road.
Traffic coming from Old MLA quarters towards Basheerbagh will be diverted at Old MLA Qtrs towards Himayatnagar Y Junction.
Traffic coming from King Koti to Basheerbagh via: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will be diverted at King Koti X Roads towards Tajmahal. Traffic coming from Old PCR towards Basheerbagh Junction will be diverted at PCR towards Nampally road.
Traffic coming from Hill Fort will be diverted towards Nampally at old PCR junction and will not allowed towards Basheerbagh. Traffic coming from Himyathnagar Y Junction towards Liberty will be diverted at Himayathnagar Y Junction towards Old MLA Quarters. Traffic coming from Panjagutta and Rajbavan road towards Khairtabad flyover will not be allowed beyond Indira Gandhi Statue circle towards NTR Marg. Traffic between Nallagutta junction and Budha Bhavan will not be allowed.
Alighting and Parking Places
Buses coming from Circles, Mehdipatnam, Karwan and Khairatabad after alighting at Ayakar Bhavan, will be parked at NTR Stadium. Buses coming from Circles, Musheerabad, Amberpet and Begumpet after alighting at B.J.R. Statue, will be parked at NTR Stadium. Buses coming from Circles, Jubilee Hills, Yusufguda and Goshamahal after alighting at A.R. Petrol Pump, will be parked at NTR Stadium.
All dignitaries/VIPs, after alighting at BJR statue, their vehicles will be parked at Alia College and Mahabubia College. All the Ministers after alighting at D-Gate, their vehicles will be parked at the Alia Model School. All Press Vehicles, after alighting at D Gate will be parked at SCERT.
With regard to Upper Tankbund Saddula Bathukamma function at evening, all the VIPs /Press vehicles after alighting at Children’s Park will be parked at Dhobi Ghat. (NSS)
