Traders asked to renew licences by March 25

Hyderabad, March 10: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has asked traders to renew their trade licences as required under sections 521 & 622 of HMC Act, 1955 for 2010-2011, in any of the e-Seva or citizen service centres in the GHMC limits.

Traders who want a new trade licence should approach the nearest e-Seva or citizen service centres in GHMC circle offices and apply for trade licenses. Traders who have not renewed their trade licence should renew it by March 25 along with 50 percent penalty.

GHMC additional commissioner (H&S), Aleem Basha said all traders should renew their trade licences before March 25 to avoid inconvenience to their business. He added that 100 teams had been deployed to take action on traders who had not renewed or did not have trade licence.

Those who did not renew their licences or were running business without licence were liable to have their premises sealed and goods and articles seized by action teams, said Basha.
