It seems to be agitations galore in the state with all the political parties going to the people either in the form of protest programmes or to highlight the welfare schemes.
While TRS has planned to go on a bus yatra to enlighten people about the separate statehood, Rayalaseema protagonists are planning a different yatra.
A tractor yatra will be undertaken from April 13 demanding a separate Rayalaseema state, Rayalaseema Parirakshana SAmithi President, Byreddy Rajsekhar Reddy said. The yatra will also highlight the failures of the state government, shortage of power, drinking water and other problems, he said.
Rayalaseema JAC has decided to fight for the cause and bring pressure on State and Central governments.
The TDP has been on strike against power charges while Left Parties and YSRCP have also chalked out dharnas. Congress on the other hand has drafted a programme to give wide publicity to the welfare programmes ahead of the local bodies elections. (INN)
