Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Monday claimed that the JAC has sought the permission from the State Government for the ‘Chalo Assembly’ rally proposed to be held on June 14.
Talking to reporters here, Kondandaram refuted the statement of City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma that no one approached him for permission. He said that police permission has been sought on June 6 itself.
Accusing the Police Commissioner of giving wrong statement, JAC vice chairman M Lakshmaiah said that denial of permission for the Chalo Assembly rally would amount to violation of constitutional rights to protest.
TNGO president Srinivas Goud and other leaders were also present. (INN)
