TPJAC calls for Sadak bandh on March 21

Telangana Political JAC convener Prof. Kodandaram here on Saturday declared that “Sadak Bandh” (road blockade) would be organized on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway on March 21. He said the Sadak Bandh would paralyse the vehicular traffic from Shamshabad in Ranga Reddy district to Alampur in Mahbubnagar district.

Speaking to the media after TPJAC steering committee meeting here this morning, Prof. Kodandaram said he would convene an extensive meeting in Mahbubnagar district to discuss the Sadak Bandh in detail. He also declared that they would not tolerate if the government resorts to wholesale arrests of the Telangana activists. He also made it clear that they were not afraid of bind-over cases and arrests.

Prof. Kodandaram called upon every Telanganaite to join the Sadak Bandh and make it a total success, otherwise the people of the region would teach them a fitting lesson. It may be mentioned here that Sadak Bandh proposed to be held on February 24 had been postponed in the wake of twin bomb blasts rocking the Dilsukhnagar area.

However, the State BJP leaders were conspicuously absent from the steering committee meeting.
