Hyderabad, January 04TPF activists to go on hunger strike
: Telangana Praja Front activists will organise a one-day hunger strike tomorrow at Indira Park here to protest against the proposed all-party meeting on Jan 6 at Delhi and the alleged delaying tactics of the Centre in delivering a separate Telangana state.
In a statement here today, front vicechairman M Veda Kumar said that the all-party meeting is clearly intended to confuse the issue and thus delay the formation of a separate state.
He said that the January 5 all-party meeting held last year was also an excuse to delay the formation of Telangana.
“Now another meeting is being convened with the same motive,” he said. He said that by holding the allparty meeting last year, the Centre had indirectly become responsible for the deaths of about 600 Telangana youths.
