The TPCC official spokesperson R Ramya staged a dharna at Telangana Martyrs statue, Gun Park here for some time, demanding the State government to arrest Choppadandi MLA Bodige Shoba immediately.
Ramya, who warned the government that she would take up dharna in front of the Assembly if the government failed to arrest Shoba, who was being served a non-bailable arrest warrant by the Court in relation to the case of attack on Ramya’s Function Hall in 2013 in Karimnagar.
Speaking on this occasion, Ramya alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who says that he won’t tolerate any person committing mistakes whoever it may be, was adopting dual standards in regard to his party leaders. She claimed that the police was behaving like the puppets in the hands of the ruling party and said that the police failed to arrest Shoba though she openly participating in all programs. The Chief Minister threatens the opposition parties’ leaders saying that he will keep them in jail, but the same Chief Minister will not keep in jail his own party leaders moving freely even though the Court issued non-bailable arrest warrant.
