TPCC ridicules Asad’s claim; dares to expel Akbar to prove MIM is secular

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has ridiculed AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi for greatly proclaiming that his party proved itself as a secular party for successfully fielding a Hindu candidate from the Puranapul Division in the GHMC elections.
In a pressnote here on Saturday, TPCC official spokesperson G Niranjan stated the MIM supremo’s proclamation will be justified only if he expels his foul-mouthed party leader and brother Syed Akabaruddin for his provocative and communal utterances. But Asaduddin Owaisi branding his party as secular just because his party fielded a Hindu against a Muslim candidate of Congress was ridiculous, Niranjan said.
The Congress leader pointed out that the Majlis party has been fielding Sunnam Rajmohan as its candidate strategically since the last three GHMC elections because a handsome number of voters in that constituency belong to Sunnam Rajmohan’s community. The people would have agreed with Asaduddin that his party is a secular one had he fielded at least 10 to 15 Hindu candidates in the Muslim-dominated areas in the Old City, he added.
Niranjan stated the citizens of Greater Hyderabad are aware of Owaisi Brothers’ communal, provocative and hate speeches and their hatred towards the people of other religions. He said Akbaruddin Owaisi’s heinous remarks against the women and men of other communities during his election meeting at Hafiz Baba Nagar on January 30 were a fatal blow to secularism. The Majlis supremo can justifiably proclaim his party as secular one only if he dares to expel his brother from the party, Niranjan stated. (NSS)
